summer 2012 part 2

since i had to go and pick up my passport at a hotel in boise,

we decided to make this our little family trip.

it wasn't a long one, but we had so much fun.

日本のパスポートを取りに、

家から車で４時間半かかる所へ行くということで

短いですが家族旅行に行くことにしました。

the next day, after i picked up my passport,

we decided to go to boise zoo!

it was really hot, but so fun.

次の日、パスポートを取りに行った後、

動物園に行くことにしました。

暑かったですが、楽しかったです！

kellen got to ride on a boat or floaty thingy with daddy.

お父さんと一緒にボートに乗ってる怜君。

and since abby was too little to ride the boat,

me and her waited at the other end.

abby loves camera and the attention!

so she smiled so big for me.

カレナちゃんはまだ小さくてボートに乗れないということで、

はんたい側でまつことに。

カレナちゃん最近カメラが好きで、

こんなに大きな笑顔を見せてくれました。

kellen saw an elephant and ran towards it

and then it spit out water

and kellen got scared. lol.

it's not a real elephant.

ぞうさん～！

って駆けつけたら、水かけられました。

驚いてる怜君。

本物のゾウではありません。

i think kellen had the best time feeding the goats.

怜君が一番楽しそうだったのは

ヤギにえさをあげてるときでした。

let's go again!

また行こうねぇ！

abby became upset on the way home...

帰りにご機嫌斜めのカレナちゃん。

but as soon as she saw the camera,

this is the response i got from her!

cheese!

でも、カメラを見た瞬間、この笑顔。

笑。

and next to abby is this funny boy, kellen!

隣で怜君はこんな感じ。

it's been so hot lately

and this is kellen's favorite thing to do!

最近とても暑いので

怜君はよくスプリンクラーでびちょびちょになってます。

for 4th of july,

we did some fireworks at home.

kellen is still scared of it, but did better than last year.

we actually spent sometime the night before with

zac's family and did lots of fireworks and was fun!

abby was actually excited that night.

去年、怜君は花火が怖くてトラックの中から見てたけど、

今年はちゃんとみんなと楽しめました。

ザックの家族とも花火をいっぱいしました。

でも、カメラを忘れてしまって、

撮れなかったのですが、

カレナちゃんめちゃくちゃ興奮してました。

さぁ、怜君はいったい何で遊んでるでしょうか？

it's vapo rub!

i totally forgot to put it away and he managed to open the lid

and put it all over him!

we had to get rid of a shirt and a couple towels.

ベポラップ？っていうのかな？です！

しまうのを忘れた私が悪いんですが、

首と腕にべっとりつけてました。笑。

このおかげで、シャツとタオル２枚捨てることに。

kellen loves fishing.

we have a garden with vegetables this year!

we planted zuccini, corn, cucumber,

tomatoes, green pepper and carrots.

but the carrots aren't doing so good for us.

but others are doing awesome and we've picked a few zuccini!

(i'm not sure how to spell some of the veges)

今年は家庭菜園してます。

ズッキーニ、とうもろこし、きゅうり、

トマト、ピーマン、にんじんです。

にんじんは失敗みたいですが、

ほかの野菜は元気にそだってます。

ズッキーニは何本かもうとれました！

they are very yummy!

it's been so fun to grow our own veges!

ズッキーニおいしくいただきました！

家庭菜園結構楽しんでます！
