japan trip 2011

we were able to go to japan again this year.

i wanted to go before kellen turned two so we don't have to pay a full price on his ticket.

i'm just cheap i guess.

we missed zac not being with us, especially on the plane.

maybe it was just me that missed him, because

traveling alone with a almost 2 y/o kid was hard!

but we made it!

and had a great time there!

this is a picture of kellen at the airport.

he was amazed with all the air crafts and trucks!

and the dog on his back has a leash on it so i don't lose him.

going to japan was actually really good.

he slept most of the way there.

and we had an extra seat next to us

so he had his own seat!

that was nice.

今年も日本に行ってきました。

怜君が２歳になる前にと思ってチケットを探したら

めちゃくちゃ安いチケットをゲット！

ラッキーでした。

今回はザックは行けなかったで、飛行機とか不安でしたが

なんとか行って帰ってこれました。

怜君、飛行機やトラックなどを見て大興奮してました。

　

　

　

　

そして、下の写真、無事に実家についてから早速いとこたちと再会！

今回の旅でもっと仲良くなれてよかったです！

after we made it to my dad's house, kellen's cousins came to see us!

it was so good to see them again.

and they played so well together!
the picture below is kellen and cousin hitoshi eating grandpa's watermelon.

yea, he grew some in his garden! it was so sweet!

上の写真はいとこの仁志君と一緒におじいちゃんとこで採れた

おいしいスイカを食べてるとこ。とってもあまくておいしかったね。

　

　

　　

そして、下の写真は日本人っぽく座ってる怜君の姿。

結構毎日こうやって座ってました。

kellen saw like this (above picture) almost everyday!

he fit right in! i guess it's in his blood.

 

and we were able to go see my mom's dance team!

during the BON season, she dances everywhere.

it was fun to go see her.

お母さんの踊りもみてきました。

お盆の時期は結構いそがしいみたいで

いろんなところで踊ってました。

見にいけてよかったです。

　

そして、実家の町のお祭りにも行ってきました。

食べ物はほとんど売り切れてて残念でしたが、

お祭りというものを経験できて、

みこしも見れた怜君はうれしそうでした。

we missed a lot of the good food there because they were all sold out!

but kellen seem to just enjoy the festival and watching "mikoshi"

which is a little temple looking thing people carry around town.

and her boyfriend. kellen loved playing with them!

怜君は私の妹の彼氏にもかわいがってもらって、

楽しそうに遊んでました。

　

　

　

そして、私の友達のお家にもお邪魔しました。

みんなでプールにも入れて、楽しかったねぇ。

it was so fun to go and visit my friend and her kids.

kellen had a great time playing with them in a pool.

or maybe he just liked the pool...

even after everyone got out to eat snaks,

kellen stayed in the pool by himself. lol.

みんなと仲良くプールと思ってたら、

お菓子を食べにみんなが出た後、

一人でプールで遊んでました。

楽しい一日を過ごせて良かったねぇ！

it was so good to see my friend

and kellen had a great time there too!

and do you know what's in my cup?

lol. it's a beer!

well, non-alcoholic kind!

i didn't like it...

ノンアルコールのビール。

私もトライしました。

わたしのお口にはちょっと合わなかったな。

今回はいとこのお家にお泊りに行ったり、

遊びに行ったり、時間を一緒に過ごせることができて

うれしかったです。

怜君、毎回うれしそうに遊んでて、

ほんと良かったなぁって思います。

we were able to visit kellen's cousins a lot during this trip.

we had a sleep over and it was so much fun.

it was so good to see kellen playing so well with them!

we were able to meet with some of my friends from

elementary and middle school.

it's been forever since i've seen them,

but it seemed like it was just the other day when i was

hanging out with them.

it was so much fun!

小、中学校のころからの友達とも会うことができました。

すごく久しぶりだったけど、そうでもない感じがしたような。

すごく楽しい時間をすごせました！

　

　

　

怜君は最近、花を見るとにおいをかぎます。

kellen likes to smell the flowers whenever he sees one.

we met up with my college friends at a park with

a whole bunch of different things to do.

kellen had a blast, but had a hard time showing it

on his face.

lol.

we even got to see the ocean here and kellen loved playing in the waves.

but unfortunatefly, i didn't take any pictures of that... sad.

私の大学時代の友達とも会いました。

車とか自転車とかいろんな乗り物があって、

うれしそうにみんな遊んでました。

怜君は海初体験！

波にうたれて楽しそうにあそんでました！

　

　　

怜君は海にもう一度行くことができました。

でも、その海は怜君の遊べるところはなく、

怜君は洗い場で遊んでました。

でも、それで満足してたみたいです。

おしゃれをするようになった弟たち。笑。

kellen was able to go enjoy the ocean again.

but there was no place for kellen to swim

so he just played in the washing area. lol.

but he seem to have a lot of fun there.

we were able to see my cousin and her kids.

i wish we could spent more time with them!

私のいとことも会うことができました！

もっと遊べたらよかったねぇ。

　

そして最後にはやっぱりまた家族で。

みんなで腕相撲大会！

もちろん勝ったのは佑介でした。

we were able to spend some more time at the end with family.

and when my family gets together,

we do arm wrestling!

and the winner was... yusuke!
and this is the pose kellen came up with after his arm wrestling! lol!

腕相撲の後は、怜君、このポーズで決めてました。

　

　

で、最後にいとこたちと。

本当に楽しい時間をみんなありがとうね。

また遊びにきます！
